Newcomers to Robert Lewandowski are registered for game operations

The stalemate over registering newcomers to FC Barcelona is over. As the Catalans announced on Friday, they managed to register world footballer Robert Lewandowski and Co. for the game in good time before the start of the LaLiga. Only the registration of Jules Kounde has been delayed, but should be completed next week.

Previously, Barca executives had generated fresh revenue by selling another 24.5 percent stake in Barça Studios to Orpheus Media. As a result, 100 million euros flowed into the club coffers.

This improved revenue situation meant that Barcelona were now able to comply with the FFP’s LaLiga rules, the salary cap and register their summer signings for play.

One day before the start of the season against Rayo Vallecano (9 p.m. in the LIVE TICKER) so it is clear that coach Xavi can build on numerous (new) stars. Until Friday, the additions Robert Lewandowski (FC Bayern), Raphinha (Leeds), Kounde (FC Sevilla), Franck Kessié (Milan) and Andreas Christensen (Chelsea) as well as Ousmane Dembélé and Sergi Roberto were not eligible to play. The latter two had signed new contracts at the Blaugrana in the summer.
