A real newspaper, thick paper, 48 pages. It feels heavy in the hand, heavier than the competition. One can only puzzle over how to get there La Tribune Dimanche, the new French Sunday newspaper, presented the first page of its opening number during the project phase, of “Numéro 1”. Maybe with a quote from a conversation with Christine Lagarde, the head of the European Central Bank, who was asked about her interest rate policy in an interview? Or with the new alliance of the country’s major trade union federations, both led by women? Or maybe something lighter, from the back of the newspaper, something from culture and art de vivre?
