New sport of walking football: This is how a soft kick variant works

“Walking Dead” – the walking dead, was once the name of a popular streaming hit. Luckily, “walking football” isn’t quite that final. On-site visit at a pioneer club on the Lower Rhine, where the soft kick variant has not yet really got off the ground.

Dieter Wiekhorst has the responsibility heavy around his neck, his bunch of keys dangles in front of the Rhinelander’s chest. That’s a lot of small keys. And an electric transponder. The transponder is the ticket to Dieter Wiekhorst’s new kingdom, to the new sports hall at the Emil Underberg Stadium. Wiekhorst is a member of the board of directors of the Concordia Rheinberg football club, a club in a small town on the Lower Rhine. And he is one of the few who have something to report here.
