The traditional Frankfurt S. Fischer Verlag has surprisingly appointed a new publishing director. Long-standing Fischer editor Oliver Vogel, 56, will replace the previous publisher Siv Bublitz as of October 1st. The publisher announced this in a statement on Friday. The personnel has a significant signal effect, it can hardly be understood other than as a programmatic reversal.
