New privacy policy at Google – Kultur

The internet knows where you live. Artificial intelligence soon too, because Google has changed its privacy policy.

Last Saturday, Google changed its global privacy policy. It now says that the company “collects information that is publicly available online or from other public sources in order to train Google’s AI models”. This caused an uproar on the internet. Surely one had guessed that Google fed its Bard AI or Open AI its chat GPT versions with pretty much everything that is not protected with passwords on the Internet and in apps. When you look at what data Google uses, the list is impressive. This includes search terms, content, video views, voice and audio data, purchase activity, contacts, browsing history, and what you do on third-party sites.
