New MVV offer: Discover your homeland by bike – Ebersberg

Cycling is very trendy these days, so the announcement by the Munich Transport Association (MVV) should please many sports enthusiasts in the Ebersberg district: After five district rallies and the big MVV city rally, from Thursday, September 1st, the four MVV cycling rallies. Attractive routes through the eight MVV districts were worked out together with the ADFC and supplemented with questions about prominent waypoints. The bike rallies can be solved directly on the smartphone with the stored GPS track and are also available in the MVV bike route planner, on the website of the transport association and as a printed folding map in the regional buses.

The Ebersberg route leads from Erding through the forest to the district town

Each tour leads through two of the eight districts. Follow the traces of the Ice Age through the Five Lakes Region from Starnberg to Fürstenfeldbruck and through the Amperauen from Dachau to Freising. One tour leads between the Isar and Lake Starnberg from Baierbrunn to Wolfratshausen, another from Erding along the Sempt and through the Ebersberger Forest to Ebersberg. As already known from the MVV city rally, questions about monuments and other prominent waypoints line the routes. What the questions have in common is that they can usually only be solved on site. All start and finish points of the rallies can be easily reached by S-Bahn and regional train and offer maximum enjoyment of nature, as the transport association promises in its announcement.

The bike rallies can be held from September 1st at mvv-radlrallye.de solved directly on the smartphone. There – and in the MVV cycle route planner under rad.mvv-muenchen.de in the “Show on map” menu – GPS tracks and overview maps are also available. In addition, from the beginning of September, free printed folding plans for the tours in the MVV regional buses in the network districts will be available.
