Elon Musk’s company “Neuralink” has apparently received approval for the first clinical trials in the USA in which a brain-computer interface is to be tested. Isn’t that great? Or is it the beginning of our enslavement?
Doesn’t he ever get enough? Doesn’t Elon Musk just want to colonize Mars and let humanity become “multiplanetary”? Does he also want to conquer the human brain? Does he want to take over our thinking and feeling? That would indeed be the end of human rights and democracy as we ideally envision it, not his clumsy takeover of Twitter or, more recently, his equally inelegant endorsement of right-wing Republican US presidential nominee Ron DeSantis. So does Musk now want to make reality what lateral thinkers accused Microsoft founder Bill Gates during the pandemic? Does he want to implant chips in us and reprogram them into mindless puppets?
