A 31-year-old man drove his car into a tree early on Saturday morning. He was on the local connecting road between Neufahrn and Dietersheim. The victim told the police that he had to avoid a deer and therefore left the road. That may well be the case, but the police officers who recorded the accident noticed the driver smelled of alcohol and had significant signs of failure. An alcohol test revealed a value of over 2.4 per mille. The car suffered about $10,000 in damage. The man escaped with minor injuries.
