Two men were arrested in Béziers as they were preparing to commit a burglary in a house located at the end of a dead end. Their comings and goings intrigued residents who decided to intervene when they entered a house after having jumped over a wire fence.

Several neighbors then decided to surround the garden, threatening the two burglars if they tried to flee. Between an angry crowd and the arrival of the police, they preferred to wait wisely for the police who picked them up.

Sentenced to six months suspended prison sentence

The two thugs, unknown to justice, had forced the bay window. The police found balaclavas and screwdrivers. Tried in direct appearance by the criminal court of Béziers, they were sentenced to six months suspended prison sentence, work obligation, to pay the Treasury for the costs of the proceedings and to compensate the victim up to 600 euros.
