NDR wants more Low German Schlager media

Norddeutsche Rundfunk is working on expanding Low German songs in its digital hit program NDR Plus. The whole thing is still in the idea status, but they want to integrate Low German more, said the deputy director of the Lower Saxony State Broadcasting House, Andrea Lütke, on Friday at the broadcasting council meeting of the public broadcaster in Hamburg. The NDR wants to distinguish itself in northern Germany with a special hit offer. The digital radio program, which can be received via DAB + and on the Internet, will change its name on November 1st: From NDR Plus to NDR Schlager.
