Funkhaus boss Sabine Rossbach has withdrawn from the management of the NDR Landesfunkhaus Hamburg. Some of the employees had previously withdrawn their trust in a letter to the director.
Rossbach will stop working at the Landesfunkhaus Hamburg in the coming weeks until the Allegations against them have been clarified by the anti-corruption officer, the NDR said in a press release on Friday. She also announced that she would not return to her position permanently.
Director Joachim Knuth said that Rossbach was paving the way for a fresh start. “We are now taking the time to clarify the allegations that are being made,” said Knuth.
processing of the allegations
The acting director and head of radio broadcasting at NDR 90.3, Ilka Steinhausen, will temporarily take over the management of the state broadcasting station. In addition, an independent team of NDR journalists is to work through the allegations journalistically, which will be headed by the deputy director, Andrea Lütke.
Rossbach is said to have favored her daughter, who runs a PR agency with many prominent clients. Specifically, it was about events that the Hamburg Journal reported on on NDR and that the agency marketed in the media.
