In US professional sports, consumption vouchers are often linked to the game. A player from the Houston Rockets takes advantage of this – and is celebrated for an alleged mistake.

Basketball professional Boban Marjanovic has the fans of the Los Angeles Clippers in the NBA brings great joy – regardless of the score. The Houston Rockets center obviously knew about a special action during the main round game on Sunday. Thanks to a partnership, fans in the arena in Los Angeles will receive free chicken sandwiches if an opposing professional misses two free throws in a row in the fourth quarter.

NBA players celebrated for action

Marjanovic made fun of it. With 4:44 minutes left, the basketball giant missed the first free throw with the score at 105:97 and then eagerly interacted with the hungry audience. When Marjanovic made the second free throw clearly too far to the left and therefore clearly missed, he raised his index finger and celebrated.

“He gave them chicken. He’s a man of the people,” ex-professional Ryan Hollins cheered loudly in the live broadcast. The Rockets ultimately won the game 116:105. For both the Texans and the Clippers around basketball world champion Daniel Theis, there was nothing left at stake on the last game day of the season.
