The New York Knicks with national basketball player Isaiah Hartenstein started the quarterfinal series of the NBA playoffs with a loss.

The Knicks, who are in the semifinals of the Eastern Conference for the first time since 2013, lost game one to the Miami Heat 101-108 (55-50). The 24-year-old Hartenstein scored two points in just over 14 minutes in front of 19,812 spectators in Madison Square Garden.

The hosts’ best pitcher was RJ Barrett with 26 points, while Miami’s Jimmy Butler was the most accurate with 25 points. The game was interrupted a little longer in the last quarter after Butler injured his ankle. The 33-year-old continued to play, but appeared battered. Game two of the best-of-seven series will take place again in New York on Friday (local time).
