At the start of summer, this French technological nugget was among the 125 winners of the 2023 class of the French Tech 2030 program. The Minister for Digital Jean-Noël Barrot and the Minister of Industry Roland Lescure celebrated with fanfare the name of Aix-based Nawa Technologies, supposed to contribute to the future of electricity in France and to Emmanuel Macron’s promise to produce 2 million electric and hybrid vehicles on our soil.

However, barely three months later, this company which invented carbon nanotube batteries suddenly found itself in receivership. It was a disagreement between its prestigious shareholders – the Mulliez family through its investment vehicle Altya Invest on the one hand, alongside Bpifrance, and Kouros Lab, on the other – which would have ended up leading the company to the cessation of payments, according to information from the Figaro.
