The State will be the sole shareholder of EDF within a few days, announces Bruno Le Maire.
“The State has taken over 98% control of EDF and on June 8, the State will have 100% control of EDF”said the Minister the Minister of Finance on RTL.
“This will allow us to carry out the construction program for six new EPRs in the best possible conditions.“, he added on Tuesday. “It strengthens the country’s energy independence and also allows us to set clear requirements for EDF to increase its electricity production.”
Bruno Le Maire is also aiming “cheapest possible electricity with price visibility”.
