The Julian Nagelsmann (36) era at the DFB starts WITHOUT Joshua Kimmich (28)!
The The Bayern star doesn’t just fall for the debut of the new national coach German national team against the USA (9 p.m.; RTL or here in BILD live ticker), but left the trip to America early on Saturday.
Shortly before kick-off, Nagelsmann announced Kimmich’s departure!
The national coach at RTL: “Tonight things got a little worse again. He got chills. He has a fever of over 38 degrees. There’s no point in leaving him in the hotel room all the time.”
Further: “He is not allowed to have any contact with the team or take part in meetings. It is better if he is with his loved ones as quickly as possible, where he will be looked after and cared for.”
The DFB announced in advance that the midfielder would be out of the game due to an infection. Kimmich couldn’t train for two days. Now the early departure from the USA back to Munich.

In September, Kimmich had already missed the 2-1 win against runner-up world champion France under interim team boss Rudi Völler (63) due to muscular problems.
Pascal Groß (32) replaces Kimmich in the starting line-up against the USA. The professional from Brighton & Hove Albion is surprisingly given preference over Bayern star Leon Goretzka (28).
On Wednesday (2 a.m. German time) the DFB team has another test match in Philadelphia against Mexico – again without Joshua Kimmich…
