Nagelsmann brings in the next newcomer: Prömel for Nmecha

Felix Nmecha has to cancel the international matches. Instead of Dortmund, Grischa Prömel travels to the DFB team. Julian Nagelsmann is testing the next newcomer for European Championship suitability.
Midfielder Chris Führich did not come to the meeting point in Frankfurt. The man from Stuttgart was missing due to “an emerging infection”, but should arrive as soon as possible in the coming days.
Dortmund’s Nmecha had to miss the game at short notice due to “slight problems in the hip area,” as the DFB announced. Robin Gosens and Malick Thiaw had previously canceled. Both will become fathers in the coming days and therefore wanted to stay with their families. Nagelsmann nominated David Raum from RB Leipzig for Gosens.
The national coach now has 26 players in his squad for the last international matches of the year. It is still unclear the fitness status of Mats Hummels (back) and Leon Goretzka (muscular problems), who came to the meeting point in Frankfurt despite their complaints. The first training session on the DFB campus is on Tuesday. The move to Berlin follows on Friday for the Turkey game in the Olympic Stadium.
Fifth newcomer to the A-Team
Prömel (28) is the fifth professional in the current squad who has never been in the A team played.
However, the midfielder has a successful DFB CV. In 2016, the former junior national player was one of the silver medalists at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. He was already in the sights of the national team. However, a broken ankle almost exactly a year ago stopped him for a long time.
