Austrian actress Nadja Tiller has died at the age of 93. In her long career she acted in more than 120 films and series. She became internationally known in 1958 with the film “The Girl Rosemarie”. Born in Vienna, she and her husband lived in Lugano until 2008. After about 50 years, the two moved up north – to Hamburg, where Giller grew up. The couple lived next door to each other in a retirement home on the banks of the Elbe in Hamburg. Giller died in 2011. The couple had their last joint film appearance on screen in Leander Haussmann’s “Dinosaur” (2009).

Since her first theater engagement in 1949 at the Vienna Theater in der Josefstadt, “Miss Austria” from 1949 has worked as an actress and has appeared on stage in addition to film and television. She played her last role at the age of 87 in “My Fair Lady” at the Theater in Braunschweig.
