Cannabis. A drug for some. A recreational substance for others. A treatment for still others. To understand the impact of legalizing cannabis on the population, actor and director Mathieu Kassovitz investigated for almost a year in countries that have legalized it. The result: a documentary entitled Cannabisproduced with Antoine Robin, which will be broadcast in prime time on April 2 on France 5, before a debate presented by Karim Rissouli.
On this occasion, we met the director. “There are 4 million of us who consume cannabis every day, the largest number in Europe despite the ban,” he recalls. If we have such easy access to this product, wouldn’t it be more interesting to use the money to do something else? » Mathieu Kassovitz assures him: “My goal is not to legalize cannabis but to ask the question. »
