Boredom and having nothing to do is not for the 56-year-old. At times like this, the danger of a drug relapse lurks, he says.

The British-American rock guitarist Slash (56) fought the risk of a drug relapse during the corona pandemic by working on a new album.

“I’ve had a lot of bad experiences with free time over the years. During extended periods of having nothing to do or killing time in some way, I get overwhelmed,” he said in an interview with Playboy magazine (March issue).

He had had serious drug problems for many years. “And the trigger that kept going down really fast with me was when nothing else was going on in my life.” That’s why he produced the album “4” with the group Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators last spring and recorded it in Nashville within five days. It will be released on February 11th.
