What happens when traditional Persian music meets contemporary Western music? Two concerts in the Bayerischer Rundfunk’s Musica Viva series promise exciting experiences. On Sunday, September 24th, the Tār and Setār virtuoso Majeed Qadianie and the tombak player Niloufar Mohseni can be seen in the All Saints’ Court Church. And with his composition “My Persia,” Wolfgang von Schweinitz translates Persian music into his own sound language.
