According to WDR, a new location should enrich the music prize with new ideas. The award ceremony will no longer take place in Bochum.

The The “1Live Krone” music prize will be awarded in Bielefeld for the first time this year. The award ceremony on November 30th will be moderated by Donya Farahani, WDR announced on Thursday in Cologne.

The move of the “1Live Krone” from the Bochum Jahrhunderthalle to the Bielefeld locomotive shed underlines the clear intention to enrich the prize with new ideas, it was said.

The award ceremony will be broadcast live on November 30th (8:15 p.m.) on WDR television, on radio 1Live and as a live stream in the ARD media library as well as on the 1Live app and YouTube channel.
