German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier is ending his patronage of the ‘Diversity United’ exhibition, which opened to great acclaim at Berlin’s Tempelhof Airport, is currently being shown at Moscow’s Tretyakov Gallery and should have traveled to Paris afterwards. It won’t come to that like that controversial art and event manager Walter Smerling declared to agencies. Smerling has been one of the big problems of the “Diversity” show since his obscure plans for a supposedly state exhibition called “Kunsthalle Berlin” on the Tempelhof site. The other was always Vladimir Putin.
