Murder of Lola: Friha, sister of suspect Dahbia B., awaiting deportation

What will become of Dahbia’s sister? Friha B., 26, was kept this Friday within the walls of the Mesnil-Amelot administrative detention center (Seine-et-Marne). She appeared in the afternoon before the detention and freedoms judge who was to rule on her expulsion or release. On October 17, his sister, nicknamed “Dina”, 24, was indicted in Paris before being imprisoned. She is suspected of having killed, tortured and raped little Lola, aged 12, on October 14 in the 19th arrondissement of Paris. A drama that moved the whole of France and caused a political storm.

On the evening of the events, Friha was arrested and heard by the judicial police and finally exonerated in this terrible criminal case. She explained that her sister was a source of trouble and that his mental health had been worrying him for several weeks. Dahbia had taken advantage of her absence to strangle the teenager in the studio she sublet at 119, rue Manin. Around 10 p.m., Dina had arrived aboard a VTC carrying the crate containing Lola’s body. Her big sister had insisted that she tell her what was in that trunk. But the alleged murderer had refused to tell him before fleeing.

On October 19, as revealed by France Info, Friha was again arrested by the police because she is in an irregular situation on French territory. This Algerian arrived in France in 2016. She notably worked in a bakery in La Ferté-Bernard (Sarthe) before returning to live in the Paris region. Since her return to Paris, she had been moonlighting in a bakery in Vitry-sur-Seine (Val-de-Marne) and, for the future, planned to stay in France and open a beauty salon. Known to the police, she had been arrested in Paris after a theft committed with a girlfriend in a perfumery.

She still has to be heard by the investigating judge.

Friha was placed in the detention center of Mesnil-Amelot, in Seine-et-Marne, because it is the only structure that welcomes women in the Paris area. According to our information, she could not be released or deported during this hearing.

“She still has to be heard by the investigating judge in charge of this case and must therefore remain at the disposal of justice”, specifies a police officer. The young woman can be kept in detention for three months.
