Munich’s first regular route flea market – Munich

The regular route – Munich’s curse and blessing at the same time. Damn, sure, that’s the construction work. The connection is often blocked and the platforms deserted. But on Saturday, August 26th, the S-Bahn will not only run the usual route again. They also take all travelers to Munich’s first regular route flea market. Neighborhoods between Pasing and Ostbahnhof invite you to dawdle around the bus stops.

Before the flea market is after the flea market. Although the flea markets in Haidhausen, Laim, Pasing and Maxvorstadt only took place in May and June, the neighborhoods are represented again on Saturday. Obere Au, Lehel and Altstadt can sell everything that is left over from the main route flea market a month later at the regular Hofflea market. If anything is left.

A total of eleven districts take part in the giant flea market. Tour schedules for the different neighborhoods were made on the Radio Gong website and the Munich flea markets published. They can also be downloaded digitally.

Bargain foxes, those interested in sustainability and the adventurous can look and stroll or haggle and negotiate. Morning show host Mike Thiel, who initiated the flea market, speaks of great fun that fits perfectly into the summer holiday season. The managing director of the Hofflohmarkt, René Götz, is also convinced of the idea. He is already looking forward to a lot of people from Munich registering and taking part.

The same rules apply to the regular route flea market as to the well-known courtyard flea markets. Probably the most important motto: The event takes place in any weather. Whether the sunshade becomes an umbrella or the tarpaulin becomes a picnic blanket does not change the fact that Saturday is spent dawdling, trading and buying.

Trunk line flea market, Saturday, August 26, 2 p.m. to 9 p.m., stalls along the trunk line of the S-Bahn between Pasing and Ostbahnhof, registration under www.hofflohmaerkte.de
