A 32-year-old went on a wild chase with the police through Maxvorstadt and caused an accident. The police wanted to check her on Wednesday around 2:30 a.m. because she was driving in the lane for oncoming traffic on Schleißheimer Strasse. According to the police, instead of stopping, she accelerated and sped through Maxvorstadt at more than 100 kilometers per hour.
She ignored red lights and drove on one-way streets in the opposite direction. When an oncoming patrol tried to stop her, she swerved onto the sidewalk.
When turning left from Gabelsbergerstrasse into Dachauer Strasse, she drove over a traffic light pole that fell onto the tram tracks. She then continued on the tram’s track bed until it stopped on Brienner Strasse.
According to police, she was not only drunk, but also had a baton and pepper spray in the car. The woman, who does not have a residence in Germany, was released in return for a security deposit of 1,000 euros.
