Munich: Woman drives an electric car in the Entenbach – Munich

The trust in the navigation system of her new electric car was fatal for a 65-year-old Munich woman on Wednesday evening: She followed the instructions until she drove her Abarth into the Entenbach in the English Garden. She notified the police about her mishap by making an emergency call around 8:30 p.m.

The pensioner was unable to explain to the officials how she got to the park and even to the vicinity of the Chinese Tower, past which the Entenbach flows. This was possibly due to her alcoholism – a blood test showed 1.48 per mille. The woman was charged with drunk driving. She was uninjured in the accident.

Her car was pulled out of the stream by the fire department. Her driver’s license was not recovered: according to the woman, it was in her wallet, which she thought was in the car. The traffic police are continuing to investigate this case.
