The pastor is enthusiastic about the idea of promoting Christian offerings in this way. But there is criticism. But it is clear that the church community needs to change.
At first, Klaus Gruzlewski was surprised at the people who were wandering around with a searching look in front of his window in the courtyard of the Lätare Church in Neuperlach. But now the priest knows what they are looking for. “People kept coming here looking for that,” says the 64-year-old, pointing to a picture in a book on the table in front of him. On it you can see the church tower of Lätare: a 25 meter high steel sculpture with orange and light blue lamps and at the top a neon sign à la Las Vegas with the inscription: “Welcome to fabulous Laetare.”
