The citizens’ initiative “Preserve green spaces” has already failed before it is even clear whether the city council will accept the demands of the initiators or whether a vote will be held on April 30th. The decision about it has degenerated into a farce, it’s all about who ends up politically disgraced with the help of which tricks or who emerges as the winner. And all this for a possible referendum that would largely have no effect: According to the last legal information from the government of Upper Bavaria, the city council should, after sufficient consideration, override it for each individual construction project.
