They all like to ride their bikes, some only to work, others as a leisure activity, all want to learn more about their vehicle – and they are all women who are sitting in the workshop of the General German Bicycle Club (ADFC) near the Theresienwiese that evening. It’s a special offer from the association: technology courses for women only – and there seems to be a need for them. “It’s really unacceptable that I know so little about it,” says one participant. A year and a half ago, she had to patch a tire for the first time when she noticed it. She came to the course for women “so that I don’t have to listen to anything from the men”.
