The people of Munich must have gotten so used to many construction sites by now that they can hardly imagine the street or square in question without site fences and excavators. For example, there is the classic at Sendlinger-Tor-Platz, where the subway station has been renovated for five years and will continue until next year. The underground construction site continues to slow down traffic on the surface. The renovation of the Ludwigsbrücken, which began in 2020, is still ongoing. The main work should be completed this year. For the time being, Erhardtstrasse and Steinsdorfstrasse will remain bottlenecks and traffic jams, with only one lane in each direction.
