World stars of the classical and opera scene together with talented new voices on stage – and at moderate ticket prices. The “Stars and Rising Stars” series offers all of this: On Tuesday, May 9, Olga Peretyatko, whose international career began at the Bavarian State Opera, has two great performances in Laurence Kilsby (tenor) and Grigory Shkarupa (bass) at the Munich Künstlerhaus Young singers to the side.
This evening of arias and duets will be followed on May 16 by a meeting between the Swiss Maurice Steger, known as the “Paganini of the recorder”, and the young stars Elias Keller (piano) and Ziyu He (violin). Venue is the Odeon. Another highlight of the series: On May 18, Munich’s General Music Director Vladimir Jurowski will sit down at the piano, and he and mezzo-soprano Julia Lezhneva will present Alice Lackner (soprano) and Sungmin Song (tenor) at the Künstlerhaus.
