Munich: Turning truck rolls over a cyclist – Munich

A cyclist was overlooked by a truck driver turning right in the north of Munich on Monday and was run over by the truck. According to the police, the 29-year-old suffered serious spinal injuries. The accident happened around 7:30 a.m. on Heidemannstrasse.

A 67-year-old was traveling west with his truck, as was the cyclist. When turning onto Kieferngartenstrasse, the truck driver overlooked the woman who was possibly in the “blind spot” at the same height next to him. In the accident, the 29-year-old was pulled under the truck with her bicycle and dragged along for a short distance.

According to the police, she suffered several spinal fractures and was taken to a hospital by the ambulance service.
