Sometimes politicians get tuition from inclined citizens during the election campaign. This is what happened to Daniela Hauck when she advertised her party at the FDP information stand on Sankt-Anna-Platz in Lehel. When she recently got into conversation with a man, he gave her an answer that she should give if someone asks: “Why should I vote for the FDP?” The answer is: “Because we are the best.”
The scene is described by my colleague Ana Maria Michel, who met Hauck, a direct candidate in the east of Munich, for a portrait. Fortunately, the candidates from the four Munich constituencies have a few more in-depth arguments ready when it comes to why the voters should give them their votes. In the past few weeks we have presented many of the Munich candidates. Some of them are already in the Bundestag, others want to go to Berlin for the first time.
