The trend is towards contactless consumption. Online retailers and delivery services are booming, and that won’t change much once Corona has shrunk from panic to endemic. Of course, something is lost in the process, and for once I don’t want to bother the book trade because the complaint about it is reserved for former editors-in-chief. In the meantime, even butchers come to meet the shy of their customers with meat and sausage machines in front of their shops. It goes without saying that the ambitious hobby cook misses the opportunity to talk shop with the saleswoman about boiled beef or mayor’s piece to the impatience of the housewives standing behind him.
For ages, certain circles of the financial economy have placed great importance on transactions without traces or witnesses.
