Munich: the Italian DJ Adiel in the Blitz Club – Munich

Alessia Di Livio always enjoyed going to school. Via Giuseppe Libetta 13. That was the address of her favorite educational establishment in Ostiense, in central Rome. The learning units there had less to do with vocabulary or binomial formulas. It was about music, emotions, culture and people. And how it all seemed to merge at the Goa Club, which she first visited when she was 18.

From that moment on, the Italian wanted to spend more time there: so she worked part-time, three days a week, in the club’s communications team. Even if she didn’t really know anything about music or electronica. But the beauty of music, according to Di Livio, is that you’re constantly learning. So if she wasn’t there, she continued her studies at home. Everything that belongs to being a DJ. Sometimes almost ten hours. And she noticed that she could mix quickly and quickly found her very own sound. This sound distinguishes Alessia Di Livio, who is now known as Adiel, to this day. After just one performance, he got her a residency in Goa and later numerous international gigs in renowned clubs and at major festivals.

Adiel relies on her intuition when mixing: mesmerizing tribal percussions, captivating melodies, dense, sombre soundscapes. The DJ succeeds in enchanting the crowd as well as in encouraging them to dance. And yourself too. She danced classical ballet for 15 years and learned many lessons that she still holds on to today: how to remain resilient and passionate at the same time, for example. Also as a producer: In 2016 she founded her label Danza Tribiale, on which her debut EP “Anatomia Del Cavallo” was released.

Your youngest short player appeared just over a month ago. On “Everything in Between”, the comparatively more leisurely opener “From A to Z” with minimal influence meets snappy numbers with broken passages (“No More Bla Bla”), a muffled bass (“Hands Off You”) and deep synths (” Less distraction”). Adiel’s sound course can be heard live this Saturday at Blitz.

Adiel, Saturday, March 25, 11 p.m. Blitz Club, Museum Island 1
