The extent of the work can be clearly seen at the end. Just in case someone hasn’t missed the last four hours including the break. Nobody missed it in this very concentrated atmosphere of the evening. So Eli Wasserscheid’s Niza is holding the novel “The Eighth Life (For Brilka)” by Nino Haratischwili in her hand. And what can you say: almost 1300 pages are quite impressive. It’s fitting that Niza thanks everyone, like at a book award ceremony, without whom the work would not have been created. Grandfather, sister, great-grandmother and so on. These ghosts of the past appear in the background of the stage and line up at the family tableau. Her story carried the evening.
