Munich: The composer Minas Borboudakis in portrait – Munich

New music is always serious, abstract and only for experts? The Munich composer Minas Borboudakis tries to expand horizons with his works – as will be the case with the upcoming premiere.

The silhouette of a man emerges in the semi-darkness of the auditorium. He follows the action on stage with concentration, his head in his hand, apparently unmoved by the unspeakable thing that is happening in front of him: a man is being skinned on stage. Musically, of course, the satyr Marsyas experiences the wrath of Apollo for the umpteenth time. “Great, Claire, great, really beautiful,” comments Minas Borboudakis at the rehearsal of his piece “Le cri de Marsyas”.
