The Atomic Café has been closed for more than eight years. Many Britpop and indie friends in Munich are still mourning the end of the legendary live club on Neuturmstraße – because more than 5000 parties were celebrated there, because bands like the Arctic Monkeys or Mumford & Sons played at the beginning of their career and because there every Friday Sportfreunde StillerManager Marc Liebscher hung up. When the longing gets too big, the former guests watch the documentary film about their club or they stand in the Stadtmuseum in the exhibition “Nachts. Clubkultur in München” in the Atomic setting, connected with the hope that their beloved club could be one open again during the day.
