There is a scene on stage where Katharina Bach unpacks her SOS. So that of Abba actually, but in her own way. Deep, profound, hopeless. She pulls the sounds out of the basement of emotions and throws out the anger of her character Nora. All the energy that was previously in her expansive playing, something very physical, has now become a voice. If it were a chemical process, it would probably be called sublimation. It is a very emotional moment in Felicitas Brucker’s production of “Nora” at the Munich Kammerspiele.
