Because, in their opinion, the 56-year-old is not driving fast enough, two passengers begin to mob. The situation escalates on the street. The criminal police are investigating because of bodily harm, insult and incitement to hatred.
The Munich police again reported a racially motivated act of violence. A black taxi driver was the victim of beatings and hate speech last Saturday. About 30 similar attacks have already been reported this year.
The incident happened around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, police said. A 33-year-old and a 34-year-old, both from Munich, got into a taxi in the valley in the old town – and started racist bullying when the 56-year-old driver, in their opinion, gave too little gas.
The driver then asked the two men to get out of the taxi. But the situation escalated on the street. According to the police, the 34-year-old approached the 56-year-old and hit him. The taxi driver was injured. The attacked defended himself and in turn pushed the 34-year-old, who fell to the ground.
Passers-by then called the police emergency number 110. The officers found everyone involved at the scene. Further investigations are being conducted by Criminal Police Office 44 (crime committed by right-wing politicians).
