Munich taxi driver finds wallet: Honest finder returns 14,000 euros – Munich

Lucky for a car dealer: He lost his wallet in Bogenhausen, which contained, among other things, 14,000 euros in cash. A 62-year-old from Munich found them and took them to the police, who reunited the money and its owner.

The Munich resident, a taxi driver by profession, was walking on Ismaninger Strasse on Friday morning. He noticed the wallet on the floor with a large amount of cash in it. He carried them to the police station on Prinzregentenplatz to hand them in.

The car dealer had now also contacted the police and reported the loss. This is how the stock exchange and owners found each other again. According to the Civil Code, the finder would have been entitled to a three percent finder’s fee, i.e. 420 euros. However, an agreement was reached on 200 euros, and the two men said goodbye, according to the police, “with a strong handshake and a broad grin.”
