Munich: “Superbloom” festival is coming back – these stars are there – Munich

There was a lot at stake with the first “Superbloom”: For example, whether a large urban festival could settle in Munich again after years of open-air sluggishness. Or whether the Olympic Park could cope with such a crowd over a whole weekend. And whether so many visitors would come after two postponements caused by the pandemic.

In the end, the premiere of the innovative neo-hippie festival with music, art, comedy and political activities was a success: with 50,000 visitors, “Superbloom” was sold out beyond the expectations of Berlin’s experienced organizer Goodlive (also: Lollapalooza); during the mass hike between the numerous stages in the stadium, the Olympic Hall, at the lake, on the Tollwood site and at other places, things came to a standstill, but most of the guests still felt comfortable in the colorfully decorated Olympic Park; and it quickly became clear: Superbloom should be back in 2023.

The organizer has now announced the date: Superbloom will enter the second round on September 2nd and 3rd, 2023. The first 20 acts have also been confirmed. First train numbers are the US hit rock machine Imagine Dragons (“Radioactive”), British singer Ellie Goulding (“Love Me Like You Do”) and Dutch electro DJ beau Martin Garrix (“Animals”). Lost Frequencies, Ofenbach and Öwnboss bring more electro to dance to. The German pop world is about with Marteria, Giant Rooks, Years & Years and up-and-coming rap Badmómzjay.
