Munich: Simon Klopstock, non-party, running for the Bundestag – Munich

Simon Klopstock is running for the Bundestag. The 23-year-old from Munich puts his savings into the election campaign and hangs up the posters himself. He won’t make it to Berlin, but he is sticking to his goal. Why does he do this?

Simon Klopstock looks tired. Dark eye rims, of course, occur in young people. But the 23-year-old isn’t celebrating much right now. He’s campaigning. Day and night. For themselves. He is running for the Bundestag in the east of Munich. He is non-party. He is – it has to be said honestly – without any chance. Since 1949 there has not been a candidate who has entered the Bundestag without a party. This number is known to Simon and he does not hide it on his website. Nevertheless, he sticks to his goal. Why?
