Munich-Sendling: Probably arson on two cars of the public utility company – Munich

In Sendling, two Stadtwerke cars burned out completely, the police assume arson. Around 2.30 a.m. on Friday night, callers reported that two electric cars were on fire in Hans-Preißinger-Strasse am Flaucher at the Stadtwerke training center. They were standing at a charging station. Firefighters extinguished the flames without spreading to a building. The police estimate the damage to the destroyed vehicles at around 100,000 euros.

First, the investigators assumed a technical defect as the cause. But then they found graffiti about ten meters away: “No HKW” had been sprayed two by one meter, “No combined heat and power plant”. The police are therefore investigating the suspicion that people from the scene of radical “climate activism” could have started the fire.

The police are asking witnesses who saw anything suspicious in the area of Hans-Preißinger-, Schäftlarn- and Brudermühlstraße to call 089/29 10-0.
