Hundreds of thousands celebrated Christopher Street Day (CSD) in Munich over the weekend. The extremely colorful parade was the largest in the city to date. In addition to having fun, the focus was on the LGBTIQ* community’s demand for equal rights and social acceptance. Deutsche Bahn (DB) also took part in the CSD and is now continuing to carry the message through the city with a colorful “Diversity Procession” that promotes respectful coexistence. The idea for this came from the DB trainees, who presented the train on Monday together with S-Bahn boss Heiko Büttner (right, in a suit). In the future, it will be used regularly as a colorful accent in the often gray everyday life of the S-Bahn in Munich.
