According to the current rent index from March 2023, Munich rents have risen from an average of 12.05 euros to 14.48 euros per square meter compared to the 2021 edition – an increase of 21 percent within two years. And that’s apparently not enough. At least that’s how you can read a current judgment from the district court. The court ruled that landlords could add a good ten percent more because of the high inflation rate.
