The Munich I district court has sentenced a notorious sex offender to seven years in prison. Among other things, the man had confessed to having raped a woman in the English Garden in a bush near the Monopteros last July. According to the court on Monday evening, the chamber also convicted the 30-year-old of sexual assault with violence, intentional bodily harm and several exhibitionist acts. The verdict is not yet legally binding.
According to the indictment, the victim briefly walked away from the other guests during a celebration. On the edge of a path, the woman is said to have met the 30-year-old, who brought her to the ground and pressed her hand over her mouth. Afterwards it came to the rape. The woman fought back as best she could and suffered several injuries as a result of the attack. The man only let her go when other people noticed her screams.
In addition, the 30-year-old had admitted seven other charges, in which he is said to have exposed himself in front of women and masturbated in an exhibitionist way. In one of these cases, according to prosecutors, he also attacked a victim.
