Olga Rubtsova’s voice has stopped. She just can’t sing any more songs, the horrific images from the brutal war of aggression in Ukraine are overwhelming. The 36-year-old founded Ukraine’s first lesbian and gay choir in Odessa about eight years ago, and even as a girl she really wanted to be a singer. But now she is sitting with four other women on a bench in the Sub gay communication and cultural center on Müllerstrasse in Munich, trying to explain how the war destroyed her life in Ukraine.
