Munich: Police special forces take supermarket robbers – Munich

His mobile phone data betrayed him, the police already had his DNA from previous cases, his e-scooter got caught in a police check: a supermarket robber caught by the police had little luck with his criminal activities. The Munich policeman, who is known to the police, is now in custody. According to the police, special forces were able to arrest the 34-year-old in his apartment on Tuesday.

According to investigators from Criminal Police Office 21, he is responsible for two raids on food markets at the end of last year in Ramersdorf and Neuperlach. On November 21, a perpetrator, who was still unknown at the time, entered a grocery store in Ramersdorf, first queued at the cash register and placed goods on the conveyor belt. When it was his turn, he suddenly threatened the cashier with a gun and demanded that cash be handed over. After several hundred euros had been handed over to him, the unknown perpetrator fled the shop.

On December 16, a man attacked a supermarket in Neuperlach – again following the same pattern: in the checkout area, he first placed goods on the belt. When the cashier wanted to collect the scanned goods and the cash drawer opened, the perpetrator showed a gun. He asked the cashier to place the contents of the drawer on the counter. Finally, he independently took the cash worth more than a thousand euros and fled.

The investigators found that the same mobile phone was logged into the corresponding radio cell both times. In addition, the perpetrator had been attacked with an e-scooter and had left DNA traces. So one thing led to another. When police searched the home, they found an airsoft gun.
